How to play Syncd

Each round gives you a target from one to five seconds. You cannot watch a countdown. Your job is to feel when that time has passed.

Start the clock

Look at the number in the center of the rings: that is the target for this round. Press and hold the game area with a finger or mouse button. The timer starts on press, and the on-screen prompt changes to remind you to release when it feels right.

Stop when it feels right

Release to stop the timer. Syncd compares the elapsed time with the target. A result such as “82ms early” means you released 82 milliseconds before the exact target; “late” means you held past it. A release within 10 milliseconds displays “Perfect sync.” The colored ring and marker help present the result, while the written feedback gives you the precise difference.

Try a steady rhythm.

For a one-second target, count one comfortable beat from your press. For longer targets, repeat that pace rather than trying to watch the animation as a stopwatch. Adjust your next attempt using the early or late feedback.

Advance or retry

Each target has a timing window. Release inside it to collect points and move to the next round. The next target will differ from the previous one. Release outside the window and the run ends; the result screen shows your score and completed rounds, then offers a retry and a share action.

The game saves your best score and best round on the current device. On supported Apple devices, Game Center leaderboards are available separately after a run. See how points and timing windows work.

Controls and sound

On a touchscreen, press and lift a finger. With a mouse, press and release the primary button. Sound and brief haptic feedback may accompany supported actions; browser/device support for vibration varies. Gameplay itself is still shown in text and visuals.
